Introduction - Driven by Purpose, Inspired by Resilience
Hi, I’m Adam Abel, welcome to my world—a journey shaped by passion, perseverance, and the belief that after every storm, there always comes a rainbow. From public speaking to endurance running, coaching to podcasting, my mission is to inspire and uplift others through my experiences.
MY STORY
Life changed for me in an instant. Just one day after my 23rd birthday, I lost my mum unexpectedly to a brain aneurysm. Three days before, she had gone out for a walk and collapsed—I performed emergency CPR to keep her alive. That moment changed everything.
To channel my grief into purpose, I ran my first-ever marathon in 3 hours and 16 minutes, raising £2,360 for the Stars Appeal—the charity that supported my family during her final moments. This journey led me to become a Patient Ambassador for the charity speaking at events that have raised over £100,000, where I now use my voice to support and inspire others.
From running marathons to speaking on global platforms, my story is about turning pain into power, challenges into opportunities, and losses into legacies.
I’d spoken before — to honour my mum, to raise money, to share the story that changed everything.
But this was different.
In 2024, I stood on stage at the Late Summer Soirée as a Patient Ambassador for the Stars Appeal — the first time I officially spoke on behalf of the charity that supported my family during our darkest days.
This speech wasn’t about re-telling my grief. It was about giving back. About standing there not as someone asking for help, but as someone who had received it — and was now ready to help the next family.
That night, we raised over £35,000 to support new projects like sleeper chairs, upgraded medical facilities, and resources that offer dignity, rest, and compassion when it matters most.
I was proud to be there. Proud to speak. And proud to now use my voice for something far bigger than me.

“This wasn’t about my pain — it was about passing forward the support that helped carry us through it.”
My Speaking & Events
I’ve had the privilege of speaking on stages of up to 6,000 people, sharing my story and inspiring others. Some of my key speaking moments include:
Full Out Fest– Hosting in Front of 6,000 People
Full Out Fest is a high-energy, two-day cheer and dance showcase, bringing together some of the most talented athletes and performers. As the event host, I had the incredible opportunity to speak in front of 6,000 people, keeping the crowd engaged, motivated, and energized throughout the festival.
From introducing teams to hyping up the audience, my role was to bring passion, excitement, and a sense of community to the event. Full Out Fest wasn’t just about performances—it was about celebrating dedication, teamwork, and the spirit of competition on a massive stage.
Stars Appeal Late Summer Soirée – Spoke at an event raising over £35,000
The Late Summer Soirée was a special charity event dedicated to raising funds for Stars Appeal, the official charity of Salisbury Hospital. As a Patient Ambassador, I had the privilege of sharing my story and speaking in front of an audience of supporters, donors, and medical professionals.
During my speech, I reflected on my personal journey—losing my mum, the incredible support from the charity, and how that experience led me to push my limits in endurance challenges to give back. The event was a huge success, raising over £35,000 to support vital hospital services and patients in need.
St. John’s Country Fayre – Presentation announcing £100,000 raised
The St. John’s Country Fayre was a remarkable community-driven fundraising event that brought people together to support Stars Appeal, the official charity of Salisbury Hospital. As a Patient Ambassador, I was honoured to take the stage and speak at the presentation for the event that had successfully raised over £100,000 to help provide life-changing support for patients and their families.
During my speech, I shared my personal connection to the cause, highlighting the impact of the funds raised and expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed. Seeing the generosity and commitment of the community come together in such a powerful way was truly inspiring.
GifterX Talks: The TED Talks for Entrepreneurs
I had the privilege of speaking at GifterX Talks, an incredible event created by Christopher Kai that brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, and thought leaders. Known as "The TED Talks for Entrepreneurs," GifterX Talks is a platform where powerful ideas and insights are shared to inspire and empower the entrepreneurial community.
During my talk, I had the opportunity to engage with fellow entrepreneurs, share my journey, and offer valuable insights to help others thrive in their businesses. The event is a hub for motivation, knowledge, and connection, providing attendees with the tools and inspiration they need to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
School and Sports Events
I have a strong background in public speaking within sports and education. I’ve hosted five cheerleading end-of-year showcases including one just four weeks after my mum’s passing, where I spoke in front of 800 people. Additionally, I have hosted two gymnastics competitions, demonstrating my ability to engage and inspire through large-scale events.
As a Head of Year in education, I regularly deliver motivational assemblies to my students, using my personal experiences to instill resilience, ambition, and a positive mindset. My talks in schools focus on overcoming adversity, pushing limits, and finding purpose in life’s challenges.
My goal is simple: to inspire others to push beyond their limits and embrace the challenges that shape us.

After running my first-ever marathon — 3 hours and 16 minutes — I returned to the hospital to donate the £2,360 raised in memory of my mum.
That moment was bigger than the run itself. It was the beginning of something I could build from. A way to give back, and a reason to keep going.
“That wasn’t just the end of a marathon. It was the start of my mission.”
Each race has represented a different stage of my journey—whether it was proving to myself that I could push past physical and mental barriers, running for a cause, or simply testing my own endurance limits. My running career is more than just times and distances; it’s a reflection of my belief that we are capable of more than we think, if only we take that first step.
"Every step, every mile, every finish line it's not just about running. It's about proving that we are stronger than our struggles and capable of more than we ever imagined."
